OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – With ongoing funding from Johnson County Community College, the Kansas Small Business Development Center (KSBDC) will permanently house the Capital Access Center (CAC) on campus. As one of only three centers like it in the United States, the CAC will continue to provide free expert loan guidance for Kansas small businesses seeking capital.
In the last two years, the CAC has proven to be a pivotal asset to Kansas small businesses. To date the CAC has helped 51 companies achieve $39 million in capital infusion and has conducted more than 150 financial trainings and workshop presentations.
Initially funded by the CARES Act and launched in July 2020 during the height of the pandemic, the CAC continues to stay true to its tagline, “Bankers working for the client.”
